Her customer relations is highly admirable. We were given a room that had construction going on right outside our balcony.Finally went to sleep out of exhaustion.The second day after breakfast,Ayarit,called me over to the front desk,apologize, and moved us to a really nice room with a balcony facing the ocean.Ayarit was very pleasant throughout or stay. We spent 6 nights here.After a long flight our first night was not pleasant. Star rating taking location/view and value into account. I didn't use pool or hot tub, and it looks like the tiles may need a scrubbing, Pool was a little cold for me and I found the 5 PM closing time too early, although I am not sure if that was strictly enforced. Many dining options and supermarket within a 5 minute walk. The furniture, towels,and kitchen equipment were all in good shape. There were a couple of bars on site, and some entertainment, geared towards their clientele from Quebec. Spacious outdoor patio was nice, except for the pigeons that reside there. Guests can not control there own AC, but the room was kept cool and it was quiet. Grounds keepers tended to the landscaping (chopping coconut trees etc) and the housekeepers kept up with providing fresh towels when we needed. There was a large staff who kept the aging property up the best they can. Better than many mid range motels with big buffets but poor quality (ie reconstituted eggs). The breakfast was actually fine, with fresh bagels, lightly toasted, with cream cheese/butter.

The restaurant is not affiliated with the hotel, and is contracted out to provide the continental breakfast, with an option for guest to order full breakfast at an additional cost off the menu. The included breakfast was coffee, juice and cereal or toast or bagel. We did self parking, directly across Collins Ave, which was super easy. The beachfront location can't be beat and the resort fee+parking was less than most in the area. The unit contained a kitchen, which was an added bonus which we used a couple of times.Although our room was carpeted, we would have preferred one with all tile, like we saw in other units. We were in a poolside room looking south with an excellent and expansive view from the terrace. Just returned from a 2 night stay and we were pleasantly surprised with our experience.
